No.  Each job is unique and there are many factors that go into determining the scope of work and costs of a project that can’t be properly evaluated over the phone.  We need to look at your project in person before offering any pricing.

We work on a “first come, first serve basis.”  The earlier you plan and schedule your project with us, the better chance you’ll have of obtaining your preferred timeline.

Generally we try to operate in small teams depending on your preferences and your desired date of completion, we can operate in larger or smaller teams as needed.

Each project is scheduled to be completed from start to finish with no interruptions.  In our detailed quote, we provide tentative start dates, as well as an approximate length or duration of time the project is expected to take.

There are many types of paints and stains so comparing them isn’t easy.  The closest comparison can be made between a standard exterior latex paint and a standard water-based exterior solid-color stain.  Both are opaque, both are water clean-up, and both require good adhesion to a surface.

Every project is a little different and both products can achieve great results in the right situation.

For exterior vertical opaque surfaces such as siding, trim and doors, we recommend high grade latex paints and stains.

For exterior horizontal surfaces such as handrails, decks and bulkheads, we recommend oil-based paints and stains.

For interior ceilings we recommend mid grade latex paint, typically flat finishes.

For interior walls we recommend mid/high grade latex paints.

For interior trim, doors and windows we recommend high grade waterborne or oil-based paints/enamels.

High moisture areas such as bathrooms, kitchens and spa areas should have a higher grade and sheen than usual to help fight against saturation, mildew, etc.

These are only typical recommendations.  Each job, depending on the existing coatings and what you’re trying to achieve, will play a major role in determining the right grade and type of materials used.

This question is highly subjective.  As a painting contractor our view is that you can extend the lifecycle of a coating indefinitely with proper maintenance.  Our recommendation is to inspect your surfaces annually and address any problems right away, such as peeling paint or mildew growth.  Ignoring a small problem today, can lead to exponential deterioration resulting in increased costs later.

Fading is another sign of paint nearing the end of its lifecycle.  Typically the south and/or west sides of a home will show the first signs of fading.  By repainting those sides as soon as you notice them starting to fade you’ll keep your home looking great continuously, at a fraction of the cost of repainting the entire house later with deferred maintenance.

We carry both general liability insurance, which covers real property (your house), and worker’s compensation insurance, which covers employee medical expenses and loss of wages in the event of a job-related injury.  We also carry commercial auto insurance.

There are several reasons why the painting quotes you’ll receive will differ in price (sometimes drastically).

The more obvious ones include;
The scope of work isn’t identical.
The materials specified are different grades.
There may not be a guarantee.

In our experience, we’ve found the cheapest doesn’t always mean the least expensive.  Many can make a fresh coat of paint look good for a short period of time, but it’s craftsmanship that makes it last.
